Schoolchildren Assemble Robots and Experiment together with ASU Professors and Students on Holidays

Young citizens of Astrakhan were happy to attend classes held by employees of the Child Center for Modern Competencies Development “House of Scientific Collaboration named after V. K. Trediakovsky” and students of the Biological Faculty of Astrakhan State University. The meetings were held in the Narimanovsky district as part of the activities of the Petropavlovsky summer camp for labor and recreation.

About 40 schoolchildren of the summer group, aged 10 to 15, attended ASU master classes in robotics, chemistry, biology and leadership psychology.

Thus, the classes in leadership psychology were aimed at uniting children and developing the teamwork skills. They formed their leadership qualities and skills of the correct distribution of roles for fruitful work. At the robotics lessons, the guys assembled robots that could follow a person, as well as sumo robots. The master class in chemistry and biology “Chemistry Around Us” pleased the children with the opportunity to do interesting experiments. In addition, the children learned safety techniques and learned how to distinguish a body from a substance. At the end of the master class, the professors and students of the ASU Biological Faculty organized a quiz for the young chemists.
