ASU Employee Presents Project On Domestic Tourism Development to His Colleagues

Senior lecturer of the ASU Department of Ecology, Nature & Land Management & Safe Vital Activities Viktor Zanozin has taken part in a thematic meeting of youth clubs of the Russian Geographical Society in Volgograd Region.

The event brought together chiefs, experts and activists of youth clubs of the Russian Geographical Society from 15 regions of Russia.

Within the framework of the scientific and educational section, the participants formed five teams for a detailed study of project ideas on the domestic tourism development.

Viktor Zanozin and his team presented to the Executive Directorate of the Russian Geographical Society a project on organizing an ecological and ethnological festival “Connect with the Origins”, combining historical reconstruction and an extensive educational programme in geography, ecology and ethnography.

The main topic of the event was to train tourism skills and methods of organizing field events and local history expeditions.

Upon the meeting results, the representative of the ASU received recommendations and comments from the experts and the Executive Directorate of the Russian Geographical Society for further work, including for improving the work of the Youth Club of the Russian Geographical Society at Astrakhan State University.
