Evgeny Primakov Discusses the Role of the Region in the Caspian Development with ASU Students
The head of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation, delivered a lecture “Topical Issues of International Cooperation” at Astrakhan State University within the framework of the 6th Caspian Media Forum.
The meeting was held in the open-talk format. The students actively asked the speaker questions about Russia’s relations with other countries, the role of Astrakhan Region in the development of the Caspian region, the interaction of Rossotrudnichestvo with international organizations and the specificity of projects and programmes that are currently relevant.
The distinguished guest noted that the domestic development is now a priority for Russia because a country with strong science, education and medicine is more reckoned with on the world stage. One of the main tasks is to form a positive image of Russia abroad and influence the prevailing public opinion. For this purpose, there are several different projects in Russia, the organizers of which Rossotrudnichestvo actively cooperates with.
At the end of the lecture, Evgeny Primakov expressed his desire to meet with the students of Astrakhan State University again.
