ASU Philologists Discuss Topical Issues of Russian Language Development

All-Russian scientific and applied conference with international participation “Vectors of Development of Russian Language Studies and Linguodidactics in the Context of Modern Philological Education” was held at the Boiling Point Center of Astrakhan State University both on-site and online.

The event was organized by the Department of Modern Russian Language of the Faculty of Philology & Journalism. Addressing the audience, Dean Lyudmila Kasianova noted the importance of the research conducted by her colleagues for the development of linguistics and improvement of linguodidactics.

The conference covered some issues of the functioning of the Russian language in the modern world, communicative, pragmatic and cognitive aspects of studying modern Russian speech. Participants of the scientific event discussed the current state and prospects of digital technologies in Russian language studies and linguodidactics, the role of the language in the educational space of modern higher and secondary schools, issues of the theory and practice of teaching Russian as a foreign and as a non-native language.
