Traditional Meetings with Senior Schoolchildren of Astrakhan Region Being Held at ASU

11th-grade schoolchildren of Secondary School No. 64 had the opportunity to get acquainted with the infrastructure of Astrakhan State University and meet with representatives of the faculties.

The tour around the university began with a visit to the Boiling Point Center. Head of the Directorate for Pre-University Training & Students Admission Lyudmila Tovarnichenko told the children about the programmes and preparatory courses implemented at the university and acquainted the audience with the content of the For Prospective Students section on the official website of the university, where one can get up-to-date information about the 2022 admission campaign.

Students of the Chemical Faculty demonstrated a series of entertaining experiments (obtaining artificial blood, simulating a volcanic eruption, etc.).

During their visit to the Law Faculty, the children were shown what students are doing at practical lessons in forensic science.

The schoolchildren also remembered the visit to the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation, where they learned about simultaneous interpretation. At the School of Sports, Physical Development & Healthy Lifestyle, the guests of the university had a look at the dry swimming facilities and the swimming pool and asked the employees some questions about the sports achievements of students, teams and sections of ASU.
