ASU Media Students Try Their Hand in Theater Journalism

Students of the Faculty of Philology and Journalism of Astrakhan State University have attended a press conference at the Astrakhan Theater of Opera and Ballet on the occasion of the first night of the old romantic ballet La Sylphide and asked questions to famous directors and dancers.

It is not the first time that the participants of the School of Theater Journalism of ASU have taken part in projects of the Theater of Opera and Ballet. Students become not only performance spectators but also authors of interviews, theater reviews and articles, thus promoting Russian opera and ballet art among young people. Cooperation with the theater allows to develop the educational and scientific activities of the Department of Theory & History of Journalism in the field of theater media criticism.

At the press conference, the theater’s chief choreographer, People’s Artist of Russia Dmitry Gudanov, told the students about his production.
