Astrakhan State University Student Is Awarded for Vigilance

Head of the Department For HR Work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Astrakhan, Lieutenant Colonel Evgeny Tolstov, visited ASU to hand a letter of gratitude to fourth-year student of the Faculty of Agribusiness, Technology & Veterinary Medicine Igor Makhov.

It was an ordinary Astrakhan morning; the police dispatch center received a message about a suspicious man walking down the street with a submachine gun in his hands. The caller was a student of ASU. After Igor’s call, the police responded to the location, detained the citizen and found out the circumstances.

The representative of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the ASU rector awarded Igor Makhov with a letter of gratitude for his high sense of civic responsibility, vigilance, attentiveness, active assistance to the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Astrakhan.

The meeting involved students of the Law Faculty of Astrakhan State University.
