ASU Organizes Cultural and Educational Events in Baku
On December 15-19, 2021, Astrakhan State University is holding a series of meetings in Azerbaijan at the ASU Center for Education, Science and Technology as part of the project «Awareness-raising and Educational Aspects of Training Non-Russian Speaking Foreigners in the Context of Expanding Boundaries of Russian Language and Cultural Space», supported by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
Cultural and educational activities will be organized at the Astrakhan Business Center in Baku, which has been officially opened this year on December, 7 as part of the implementation of joint programmes for the exchange of students and teachers and in the area of developing scientific potential between ASU and Azerbaijani universities.
The events are aimed at promoting the Russian language and Russian culture in the foreign educational environment and are designed to contribute to the development of a sustained interest in the study of the Russian language in a foreign-language audience.
The programme includes:
- An entertaining lecture hall for senior schoolchildren and students “Working Wonders with the Russian Language...” (December 15, from 15h00 to 18h30; December 16, from 10h00 to 13h30).
- A scientific and methodological platform for teachers “Current Issues of Modern Russian Studies and Linguodidactics” (December 16, from 15h00 to 18h30; December 17, from 10h00 to 13h30).
- A competition of creative projects for senior schoolchildren and students dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the birth of V. I. Dal (December 17, from 15h00 to 18h30; December 18, from 10h00 to 13h30).
Summing up of the results will take place on December 19, from 10h00 to 17h00.
All contestants will be awarded certificates, winners will receive prizes, and project managers will be handed letters of gratitude.
