Forum “Caspian Region 2022: Sustainable Development Trajectories” Will Be Held Next May
This was announced at another meeting of the Council of Rectors of Higher Educational Institutions of Astrakhan. The colleagues also discussed the priority issues of the implementation of educational projects in the region and the general strategy for the development of Astrakhan universities.
At the event, Executive Director of the Association of State Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Region Countries, President of Astrakhan State Technical University Yuri Pimenov and ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov told the audience about the holding and results of the 23rd General Assembly of the Association, which took place on December, 2 in Aktau, Kazakhstan.
In his report, Yuri Pimenov noted that all universities are working on the issue of creating a powerful and well-functioning triangle of University — Business structures — Executive power.
Konstantin Markelov shared his general impressions of the event. He noted that the universities of Iran and Kazakhstan take the work of the association rather seriously.
Andrey Petraev, Director of the Astrakhan Branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, presented information on the experience of implementing federal priority projects in his organization, and ASU First Vice-Rector — Vice-Rector for Strategic Development Elina Polyanskaya highlighted the issue of holding international scientific forum «Caspian Region 2022: Sustainable Development Trajectories». She stressed that it is proposed to hold the forum in the traditional format in May 2022.
At the end of the meeting, the participants unanimously supported the draft regulations on the Council of Rectors of Higher Educational Institutions of Astrakhan, presented by its Chairman, ASU President Aleksandr Lunev.
