ASU Enters the QS EECA Ranking of Best Universities

It is the second year Astrakhan State University has been among the most prestigious universities of the emerging countries of Europe and Central Asia, entering the ranking compiled by the global analytical agency QS Quacquarelli Symonds every year. The ranked list of 450 organizations includes 129 Russian universities, with ASU being among them.

In the QS Emerging Europe & Central Asia (EECA) University Rankings 2022, higher education institutions were assessed according to a number of criteria — academic reputation, reputation among employers, teacher-to-student ratio, number of publications per teacher and per employee, number of citations per publication, share of foreign professors and staff members, share of foreign students, share of professors and staff members with academic degrees.

The best indicators of Astrakhan State University were the ones of the share of professors and staff members with academic degrees and the share of foreign students.

The leading position in the ranking was taken by Lomonosov Moscow State University. ASU has become the only university in Astrakhan Region that entered the prestigious list of the QS EECA agency.
