ASU Outlines New Partnership Prospects at the Educational Forum in the UAE

Rector of Astrakhan State University Konstantin Markelov commented on the results of the major international event “Education, Science, and Youth in the Focus of National and International Priorities”, which took place on February, 11-12 as part of the EXPO-2020 global exhibition.

The forum brought together representatives of the Russian government and the scientific community, as well as rectors of leading Russian universities. The program included a series of events, including the open talk “ASI Strategy 2022–2024: the Role of Universities in Development of Entrepreneurial Institutions among Students, University Graduates and Economically Active Groups of Citizens” and panel discussions “Drivers of Scientific and Technological Excellence of Tomorrow”, “Smart Russia: Academic and Youth Policy”, “International Academic Leadership”, “Education of the Future: Challenges and Scenarios” and “Purpose and Possibilities of Digital Communication between the Authorities and Academic Community”.

Konstantin Markelov took part in the main events of the forum, spoke at the panel discussion “Purpose and Possibilities of Digital Communication between the Authorities and Academic Community” and joined the dialogue at the strategic session of the rectors of Russian universities.

An agreement was reached on a joint project of Astrakhan State University, Moscow State University of Food Production and Mordovia State University to create eco-products and build network partnerships.

In general, the rector of Astrakhan State University believes that discussing pressing issues with the major players of the educational market helps to make sure that the development of the university is going in the right direction.
