Chairman of Astrakhan Oblast Duma Completes ASU Postgraduate Programme

Igor Martynov was awarded a diploma of researcher (teaching researcher) with the major in Economics (profile “Economics and Management of the National Economy”). Along with him, several dozens of graduates of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Astrakhan State University obtained bachelor and master’s degrees.

Konstantin Markelov addressed the newly minted specialists with a parting speech.

“I’m proud of your achievements, but please don’t rest on what has been achieved and move on, because one has to learn all their life in modern realities. Your alma mater provides you with such opportunities: these are advanced training and professional retraining programmes, and master’s and postgraduate studies. I’m sure that you will return to ASU and keep a strong student friendship for life,” the rector of Astrakhan State University said.

That evening, the students who studied in such areas of training as State and Municipal Administration, Management, and Tourism became the owners of the long-awaited documents. Among the graduates were foreign citizens, in particular representatives of Guinea-Bissau, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

A special event was the handing of a postgraduate diploma from Astrakhan Tatishchev State University to Igor Martynov, Chairman of the Astrakhan Oblast Duma. Now he continues to work on his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Sciences in Economics.

The solemn ceremony included concert items and was a beautiful start to a bright future for the graduates.
