Astrakhan State University Discusses Possibilities of Opening a Startup Studio

The project will be implemented with the support of the Infrastructure & Educational Programmes Foundation, regional investors and partners.

The process of creating eco-friendly conditions for the development of innovative projects in cooperation with existing businesses was also discussed during a business visit of representatives of the Association of Exporters and Importers to ASU.

“The creation of a startup studio will allow the university to move to a new level of investment support for technological projects by bringing together development institutions and existing entrepreneurs of Southern Russia and the Caspian region around Astrakhan Tatishchev State University. Being its leader, I guarantee the attraction of smart resources for the development of the initiative,” ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov said.

Astrakhan State University has already created an environment for the development of technological entrepreneurship, and more than a third of students are involved in project activities and acceleration programmes with the support of leading Russian companies like Sberbank, Yandex, Russian Venture Company, Rostelecom and others.

It is worth noting that the project will also develop within the framework of the international agenda, through the formed university network of partners from India, China, the countries of the Middle East and Africa.
