Konstantin Markelov Takes Part in Plenary Session “School. New Horizons”

As part of the August pedagogical meetings, the Astrakhan State Philharmonic has held a meeting between representatives of the authorities and teachers of the region, involving ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov, among the others.

The main topic of the meeting is education and ideological work in educational institutions, as well as raising the prestige of the teaching profession and holding events within the framework of the coming Year of the Teacher and Mentor. The meeting was moderated by the Chair of the Astrakhan branch of the Russian Movement of Schoolchildren Nina Konnova.

The event was opened by Astrakhan Governor Igor Babushkin. In his report, he comprehensively highlighted the challenges that the education system is facing now. The governor noted the importance of psychological and pedagogical support and moral and patriotic education of schoolchildren, as well as career guidance, which must be in educational institutions.

The plenary session “School. New Horizons” also involved Minister of Education and Science of Astrakhan Region Egor Ugarov. In his speech, he spoke about the key areas of the education system of Russia, as well as about youth projects and movements that are being implemented and exist at the moment.

After the end of the session, representatives of youth movements took the stage to greet all the teachers present on the upcoming Day of Knowledge.
