ASU Hosts a Research and Applied Conference of Ophthalmologists

An interregional event with international participation was held at the Boiling Point Center of Astrakhan State University, involving ophthalmologists from the regions of the Southern Federal District and the Caspian states.

The conference Innovative Technologies in Regions’ Ophthalmological Practice was organized by Astrakhan Tatishchev State University, Astrakhan State Medical University, the Ministry of Health of Astrakhan Region, the Astrakhan branch of the Association of Ophthalmologists all-Russian public organization and the Astrakhan branch of the Society of Ophthalmologists of Russia.

The purpose of the event is to increase the role of scientific, educational medical institutions in protecting and strengthening the health of the population, strengthening their responsibility for the state and development of the healthcare system.

In their reports, the conference participants considered such issues as the use of virtual reality in ophthalmology, complications after drainage implantation, glaucoma treatment, organization of an ambulance service information system, and others.

The SKYOPTIX symposium was held in an additional hall, where various aspects of lens application were discussed.
