90 years of ASU: Together into the Future Business Meetings

Anniversary celebrations at Astrakhan Tatishchev State University continue with an exhibition of scientific achievements and a presentation of university projects.

At the exposition, organized in the hall in front of the Boiling Point center, guests could get acquainted with the results of the work of ASU structural divisions in such areas as robotics, agricultural sciences, phygital sports, etc.

Opening the business meetings, ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov emphasized that the 90th anniversary is not only a holiday, but also a time to take stock and look into the future.

During the Together into the Future business meetings, the guests of the university learned about the strategic projects of ASU, implemented within the framework of the Priority 2030 programme, and about the prospects for educational policy and the development of network programmes. There was also a presentation of the book ASU: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, specially prepared for the anniversary.

The guests of the holiday saw video congratulations sent to ASU from colleagues and partners from different regions and countries: Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.

Another important event of the holiday was the presentation of the prize for young scientists in the field of science and technology named after the President of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Academician A.P. Aleksandrov. The first laureate of the award is Konstantin Kolegov, Candidate of Sciences in Physics and Mathematics, Senior Researcher at the Scientific Laboratory of Mathematical Modeling and Information Technologies in Science and Education.

The anniversary celebrations will continue at the Astrakhan State Theatre of Opera and Ballet with the Light It Up open-air youth programme, My University exhibition and the 90 years in ASU History big gala concert.
