ASU Hosts a Discussion on Fundamental Changes in Global Politics
Another meeting of the Caspian International Discussion Club interuniversity expert and analytical center on the topic “Geopolitics of the Greater Caspian Region: Prospects for the Development of the North-South ITC and New Challenges of Our Time” was timed to the 90th anniversary of the university.
The discussion was organized by the ASU Center for Strategic Eurasian Studies.
The round table was attended by members of the club, representatives of partner universities and foreign guests, including Saipull Sapanov, the Director of the Tabyldiev Research Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnology of the Caspian Region of Dosmukhmedov Atyrau University (Kazakhstan) Asylbek Kanbetov, the Dean of the Nadirov Institute of Petrochemical Engineering and Ecology, Bulat Kokenov, the First Secretary of the Consulate-General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astrakhan, and Mansur Adamov, the Advisor to the Chairman of the Coordinating Committee for Economic Cooperation with African Countries.
The participants considered a wide range of fundamental changes in world politics that have taken place since the start of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, and assessment of their impact on spatial transformations in the Caspian region within the scope of the topic at hand.
Foreign guests of the international discussion platform spoke about the importance of cooperation, maintaining stability and security in the Caspian region, as well as fulfilling the Caspian economic potential.
