ASU Teacher Did a Course in Implementing and Managing Environmental Initiatives

Elvira Kanash, Candidate of Sciences in Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Theory of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Astrakhan Tatishchev State University, participated in a workshop of the ECOSOFIA.RF project.

The event was organized by the Russia – the Land of Opportunities presidential platform, the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Russian Environmental Operator public and legal company.

To participate, the attendees, including Elvira Kanash, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Theory, passed the competitive selection.

The workshop included lectures by professors of the MGIMO School of Business and International Competencies and leading experts in sustainable development. Besides, Elvira Kanash visited the Russian Environmental Forum, where she discussed the closed-loop economy, green finance and ESG, extended producer responsibility (EPR) and investment projects in the field of municipal solid waste (MSW) with her colleagues.

The workshop resulted in both advanced training and new contacts in the field of social entrepreneurship, public administration and the implementation of environmental initiatives.
