ASU Presents Its Experience In Preserving and Promoting Russian Language and Culture in the Greater Caspian Region
Angelina Fadina, the Vice-Rector for International Affairs of Astrakhan Tatishchev State University spoke at a meeting of the Expert Council on Intercultural Dialogue and Education for Sustainable Development under the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation together with the Moscow House of Nationalities.
The meeting participants discussed issues related to the specificity of implementing intercultural dialogue and promoting the Russian language and education. In addition, they talked about initiating promising events on intercultural dialogue and education with the participation of Russian and foreign partner organizations.
According to Angelina Fadina, Astrakhan State University addresses the tasks of promoting the Russian language culture abroad and forming a positive attitude towards Russia in the world community through the activities of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language; development of joint educational programs of Russian universities with foreign universities; development of academic mobility of teachers and students; cooperation with representations of Rossotrudnichestvo in the CIS countries with the participation of foreign centers and representative offices of the university, and many other activities.
