Astrakhan State University Sums Up 2022 Results of Research Activities
A report on the key scientific events, implementation of scientific policy and future projects has been made by Vice Rector for Research Activities Lyudmila Baeva at another meeting of the ASU Academic Council.
The vice rector noted that the year 2022 was a turning point for our country and set new vectors of investment development. The main one was import substitution, which determined the priorities in science. Lyudmila Baeva also reminded of last year’s beginning of the Decade of Science and Technology, announced by the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
An important area of cooperation for ASU in 2022 was the partnership with universities of the new Russian territories, especially ones of Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, as well as work on addressing challenges in the real economy and the military industrial sector.
Lyudmila Baeva told about significant events that took place in Astrakhan State University last year. Among them were business meetings with presentation of the best scientific projects of ASU, the 2022 Caspian Region forum, participation in the Caspian Economic Forum, the first awarding of the prize named after the President of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Academician A.P. Aleksandrov and many others. The vice rector also showed the indices for 2022 in different areas of science.
In 2023, the work on the development of science in Astrakhan State University will continue: mechanisms will be developed to involve students and Ph.D. candidates in research activities, to fundraise for research, etc.
The Academic Council also awarded the most successful representatives of Astrakhan Tatishchev State University in social and professional activities.
