Students of ASU Faculty of Foreign Languages Learn about Opportunities for Training in Japan

Within the framework of the cooperation agreement between Astrakhan Tatishchev State University and Yamanashi Gakuin University, the Japanese representatives held an online meeting for students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

The event was attended by employees of the International Center of Japan, students of foreign partner universities of Yamanashi Gakuin University, teachers of the Department of Asian Languages of ASU, employees of the ASU International Cooperation & Recruiting Unit and first‑year students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages who study Japanese.

The students were told about a new exchange program in which foreign students can choose disciplines related to intercultural communication, studies of the region of residence (Yamanashi Prefecture) and business sphere. Students also take part in a variety of extracurricular activities that allow them to learn more about the culture and society of the Land of the Rising Sun. The foreign students, who have already completed their training under the exchange program, shared key information and their impressions.

The first-year students learned a lot about the Japanese region and university, and feeling the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, they asked any questions of interest.

Holding such meetings will become an important tradition contributing to the development of fruitful cooperation between the two universities.
