Konstantin Markelov Makes Proposals on Transport Logistics Development at the International Forum
The Forum Transport Logistics of the Caspian Region 2023 has started in Astrakhan. Rector of Astrakhan Tatishchev State University presented the results of the expert session Logistics Personnel and Transformation of Continuing Professional Education Programs in the Context of Current Demands of INSTC Labor Market held previously at ASU.
Representatives of banks, development institutions, investment companies, ports and terminals, stevedore and logistic companies, freight forwarders and owners, ship owners and builders, exporting and importing companies, federal and regional executive authorities of Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and India attended the Forum to discuss key issues of cooperation between consignors, transport carriers and service providers within Volga-Caspian transport and logistics ecosystem and INSTC.
The Rector noted that ASU and universities of Consortium of Caspian Higher Educational Institutions in Transport & Logistics had been developing a joint strategy for training transport and logistics personnel. He also proposed to organize a strategic committee with participation of business and educational institutions representatives in order to identify key research and development areas in the field of transport and logistics.
