First University Prize "Thank You - 2014"

04.06.2014
First University Prize

A Last Bell Holiday and a ceremony of awarding with the First University Prize “Thank You - 2014” have been held at the Department of Pedagogics, Social Work, and Physical Training of ASU.

Graduates of the Department have decided to arrange not just a common students’ amateur concert, but to turn the event into a real ceremony of awarding. The idea has been suggested by the organizing committee of the “Thank You - 2014” prize - undergraduate students specializing in Social & Cultural Activities. Destroying the steady stereotype that you must spoil before you spin, the first group of our graduates who covered the specialty “Social & Cultural Activities” has demonstrated a high level of professional skills. Graduates of other specialties (Social Pedagogics, Social Work, Pedagogics, Primary School Education, and Physical Training) have helped arrange the event.

The official ceremony of awarding with the “Thank You - 2014” prize has made it possible for our graduates to say thanks to all their professors and to award each professor in special nominations “Miss Strictness, Mr. Positive, Young Professor, etc.). The selection of event presenters has made it possible to reflect another conceptual idea of the prize - generation succession. The event has been presented and handled by Anna Karelkina (a graduate) and by Alexey Zhigulsky (a freshman).

The honor to open the ceremony has been granted to the Gold Dance team, which is headed by Sergey Snegov, another graduate of this year. The concert part of the event has been presented with numbers by graduates of all the specialties. Despite the fact that numbers were absolutely different (someone gave humoristic numbers, someone was extremely frank and serious), each number was met with a storm of applause.

A traditional performance of the anthem of the Department of Pedagogics, Social Work, & Physical Training has become a traditional ending of the entire event.
