Athletes from ASU Take Prizes

The 25th National Olympic Day has been held last weekend. Students and faculty of Astrakhan State University have taken part in it. Athletes aged from 10 to 80 have been competing at a distance of 1, 000 meters.

Twelve people have represented our University at the contest; there were ten students of ASU’s Department of Pedagogics, Social Work, & Physical Training, and two staff members of our Chair of Sport Games & Adaptive Physical Training.

It was Dr. Nina Zinchuk, Head of the Chair of Sport Games & Adaptive Physical Training, who has won the golden medal among women born in 1950s. The bronze medal for women born in 1970s has been won by Ms. Irina Yankevich, Assistant of the same Chair.
