Football Team of ASU Becomes Absolute Leader at Regional Tournament

The football team of Astrakhan State University has taken the 1st place at the 3rd stage of 11th Youth Games in Mini Football held in commemoration of Anatoly Guzhvin, the first post-Soviet Governor of Astrakhan Region.
The matches have been held at the sports site of the Regional Football Federation. Our players have won the team of the Saratov State Academy of Law; the score was 6:0. Matches with teams from the Astrakhan Institute of Engineering & Construction and the Volga State Academy of Water Transport have been won by our team, too. The game with the Cooperative College has been over at the score 3:0 in favor of our team as well. The final match was between our team and the team of Astrakhan State Technical University. The match was drawn, but it was the team of our University that has gained the highest overall scores.Students of most different specializations have made up our mini football team – future veterinarians, economists, architects, designers, etc.
