Economist from Venice Shares His Experience

During the visit that Dr. Duccio Basosi from the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, a renowned specialist in the field of world economy, has paid to Astrakhan State University, he met students of our Department of World Economy & Management.

The distinguished guest’s speech has been of profound interest among our students, who asked him numerous questions in English and participated in the discussion actively. This meeting has been of special importance not just because our students could learn much about external debts of various countries in 1970-1980, but also because they could take a look on economic categories within historic events. English speaking practice has been another good plus for them.

After Dr. Basosi had met our students, he has met our faculty staff. During an informal talk, the colleagues have shared their views on issues of quality, specifics, and development prospects of higher education of Italy and in Russia; they have discussed opportunities of further professional cooperation.
