Enhancing Quality. Tempus EQUASP Seminars at ASU

The Tempus EQUASP international seminar “Online Provision of Quality of Educational Programs” has been held at ASU. Delegates from 18 universities of the world have discussed issues of improving the quality of educational programs.

The main criteria to determine the quality of education have been under consideration. Our partners from 18 universities of Russia, Italy, Spain, Lithuania, and Slovakia have arrived at the event to discuss relevant issues in this field.

The first seminar has concerned information and data that provide the right level of educational programs realization. The participants of the seminar have learnt about the “Suggestion of Information & Data to Provide Quality of Educational Programs”; they have made up their own comments to it. It was reps of Tambov State Technical University who handled the first seminar.

The theme of the second seminar was “Questionnaire to Monitor Perception of Educational Programs Quality”. The participants have considered suggestions to arrange the survey; they have made up a whole list of their comments. It was staff of Astrakhan State University who moderated the second seminar.

Discussion and approval of quality standards and educational programs monitoring have become the main outcomes of the whole event. The participants have done enormous work to search for the best solutions to approximate and harmonize the Russian and the EU educational systems, which is crucial to provide a general quality environment. As a result of the work that has been done for over a year, an online platform shall be created; the platform will make it possible to form the right level of training at universities that participate in the Tempus EQUASP project. It shall have an unlimited subject form, so it can be integrated into various educational modules.

The main goal of such projects is to contribute to enhancement of the quality of technological educational programs by improving academic results determination systems, as well as online documents and monitoring, to make them meet the EU regulations, standards, and recommendations in the field of higher education.

During the Seminar, its participants have seen a lot of Astrakhan’s historical and cultural sights, as well as facilities of Astrakhan State University. The guests have highly assessed the conditions provided for our students.
