ASU Holds Trade Union Election Conference

In middle October 2014, ASU held a trade union election conference; over 130 delegates (faculty staff, students, and administrative staff) have been elected to take part in it.

The conference has been opened by Dr. Tatyana Samarets, Chairperson of the primary trade union organization. She has been chairing the union for 13 years; she is also an Associate Professor of ASU’s Chair of State & Municipal Administration. Delegates of the conference have listened to her report that concerned activities performed by the union for the last five years. Ms. Lyudmila Sukhenko, who headed the revision commission, has presented a report about incoming and outgoing assets of the union. The delegates have assessed the union’s activities positively.

The agenda of the conference has included elections of a new chairperson of the university union, as well as a new union committee. It was Dr. Lyudmila Kasyanova, Dean of ASU’s Department of Philology & Journalism, who has been elected as the new chairperson. Dr. Nikolay Vybornov, Dean of ASU’s Department of Physics & Technology, has become her deputy. As for the union committee, the following professors have become its members: Dr. Galina Palatkina, Dr. Irina Kalimullina, Dr. Valeriy Zinchuk, Dr. Valentina Limonova, Mr. Sergey Muravyov, Ms. Tatyana Nazarova, Mr. Sergey Popov, Dr. Alexey Tyurin, and Ms. Oxana Udalova. Four students (Pavel Zhidkov, Adelya Tnalieva, Evgeniy Cherepanov, and Marina Saerova) have become the committee members, too.
