Astrakhan to Host Contest “Best Union Leader 2014”

In early November 2014, one of Astrakhan’s recreational facilities will be the venue for the contest “Best Students’ Union Leader of South Russia 2014”; students’ delegations from all over South Russia will take part in it.

The goal of the contest is to reveal and back talented young people, who would be able to execute youth-related policy among students on a professional basis, who could arrange protection of students’ rights and interests efficiently, and who could motivate others to join students’ unions.

The most active students from a number of South Russia’s universities are to take part in the contest: Adyghe State University, Astrakhan State University, Volgograd State Socio-Pedagogical University, Volgograd State Technical University, the Volgograd State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Don State Technical University, Kalmyk State University, Volgograd State University, Kuban State University, the Rostov State University of Economics, Southern Federal University, and the Platov South Russian State Polytechnic University.

The event organizers have prepared a range of complicated tasks for the participants to reveal their professional, creative, and intellectual qualities: Self-Portrait, Professional Test, Information Graphics, Union Meeting, Flashlight, and Surprise. All these contests will help detect the most active, the most skilled, and the most creative union leaders precisely.

The participants’ works and performances are to be assessed by a competent jury, which will include reps of students’ unions from all over Russia.
