ASU Opens Studio of Sculpture & Plastic Art

A studio of sculpture and plastic art has been opened at the Art Design Workshop that operates at the Department of Architecture & Design of Astrakhan State University.

The new unit has been opened specially for our students who specialize in sculpture. Its premise fully meets the necessary requirements: professional sculptural tools, convenient shelves to store models of ancient casts and students’ works, good lighting, and modern ventilation devices.

The curriculum of the specialization “Sculpture” already includes a task for our students to create their own plaster casts. Since the first days that the studio is operating, classes with 1st- and 2nd-year-students are delivered there. The feedback our students give is very positive.
