ASU Receives Awards of Archimedes-2016 Salon

Astrakhan State University has taken part in the 19th International Salon of Inventions & Innovative Technologies “Archimedes-2016” recently held in the Sokolniki Exhibition & Convention Center in Moscow.

This event has been backed by the World Intellectual Property Organization, by the Russian President’s Administration, by the Government of Moscow, and by the Federal Service for Intellectual Property. The Salon has united over 700 researchers from 17 countries and from 44 Russian regions; its participants have presented 680 inventions and innovative projects in 42 classes.

Upon the decision of the international jury, ASU has obtained not only a diploma for its active participation in the Salon, but also three medals for its following projects:

• Means to Purity Water Surface from Oil Pollution (by Prof. Yulia Shaplygina and Prof. Tatyana Kurochkina) – a golden medal;
• Means of Early Recognition of Planovalgus Deformity of Children’s Feet (by Dr. Olga Vorontsova and Mr. Igor Mazin) – a golden medal;
• Unit to Extract Seeds from Watermelons (by Prof. Valentin Abezin, Prof. Alexey Salnikov, Dr. Natalia Salnikova, and Ms. Olga Bespalova) – a silver medal.
