Summer Practice of Our Young Biologists

In middle July 2016, 1st- and 2nd-year-students of the Biological Department of Astrakhan State University visited the Teberda Nature Reserve located in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic (the Caucasus Mountains in Southern Russia).

Over 200 species of vertebrates inhabit the Reserve; thousands of vegetation species grow there. During their summer training, our students were on numerous excursions, including a visit to the Shumka Falls, where they collected materials for their herbaria. As they confess, this training was of great value for them; it was unforgettable and full of bright impressions.
