Team of ASU Wins Championship in Basketball

On July 08-17, 2016, Astrakhan State University hosted the Basketball Festival “2016 Summer Cup of ASU”; the event was arranged jointly by ASU and by the Astrakhan Basketball League.

Eight amateur teams took part in the competition; they represented Astrakhan’s higher and secondary professional educational institutions. Twenty games were played during the ten days.

The Caspian Wolves team of ASU won the Torch team, which was the previous champion of the Astrakhan Basketball League, thus having become the winner of the Festival.
