Team of ASU to Take Part in Student Sports Festival

In late July 2016, a large-scale youth-related event – the Student Sports Festival – is taking place in the town of Alushta (Crimea).

The team of Astrakhan State University, whose name is “the Caspian Wolves”, has passed the selection stage of the Association of Student Basketball successfully. Team assessment criteria included both overall team performance in the season 2015-2016, as well as players’ individual achievements. As a result, the range of Russia’s best teams included basketball players of ASU, as well as young people from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Oryol, Belgorod, Nizhny Novgorod, etc. The Festival agenda includes master classes, contests (1*1, 3*3, and 5*5), the seminar “School of Basketball Managers”, excursions, and competitions.
