Professor of ASU Wins European Union Grant

Professor Nikolay Grishin from the Chair of Political Science & International Relations of Astrakhan State University has won a Jean Monnet Modules Erasmus+ grant.

The candidate competition rate was very high: only 194 of 1, 011 submitted applications were approved by the European Commission.

Prof. Grishin got the EU grant to develop and introduce his project as a part of the educational module “Democracy and Governance in EU” for three years. The course to be developed aims to enhance students’ professional competencies. Prof. Grishin’s project will make it possible to include this module into our University’s master programs in Political Science and in Sociology; hence, our students will get education of international level.

The Erasmus+ Program is a logical continuation of the Tempus and the Erasmus Mundus Programs. It aims to back the development of economic, political, and inter-university relations between the European Union and Russia.

Let us congratulate Prof. Grishin on his success!
