Scholars of ASU Become Experts of Russian Academy of Sciences

The Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) has completed its formation of the professional expert community.

The range of RAS experts approved by its Presidium now includes eight scholars of Astrakhan State University: Professor Lyudmila Baeva (D.Sc. in Philosophy); Professor Anna Romanova (D.Sc. in Philosophy); Professor Boris Kaygorodov (D.Sc. in Psychology); Professor Lyudmila Yakovleva (D.Sc. in Biology); Professor Lidiya Zolotykh (Doctor of Letters); Professor Marina Lazko (D.Sc. in Biology); Professor Nikolay Grishin (D.Sc. in Political Science); Professor Yuri Tarasevich (D.Sc. in Physics & Mathematics).

By the end of 2016, RAS experts will have to analyze activities performed by various research institutions and give their expert opinions concerning the results of 5, 000 projects – both international ones and ones funded by the Russian federal budget. Besides, the scholars are to assess programs by the Russian Federal Government, as well as federal target programs, strategies and concepts by federal executive authorities, development programs by educational and research institutions, and particular projects as parts of those programs.

Let us congratulate our colleagues, and let us wish other scholars of ASU became experts of the Russian Academy of Sciences, too!
