“Health Wave” in Astrakhan

On September 06, 2016, students and staff of Astrakhan State University took part in the Nationwide Event “Health Wave”.

The event has gathered about 1, 000 people of Astrakhan at the Volga River Quay. There were health examination and medical consultation facilities, dancing flashmobs, sports competitions, painting contests, a musical concert, etc. The marathon “10, 000 Steps to Be Healthy” was especially remarkable; Mr. Alexander Zhilkin, Governor of Astrakhan Region, opened the marathon himself.

There has also been an unofficial mini football match between a team of Spartak Football Club’s veterans and a team of Astrakhan Region; a student of ASU took part in it.
