Opening Italian Season with Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Grant

Astrakhan State University has won an Erasmus+ grant in academic mobility for students of all levels. Students of our Department of Architecture & Design, our Biological Department, and our Department of Foreign Languages have already gone to Venice to study there.

Nine students from Astrakhan have begun to study at one of Europe’s top universities – the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice in Italy. Besides Biology and Design, they are also to study the Italian language and the Italian literature.

In their turn, 13 Italian students have come to Astrakhan. They are to attend classes at the following Departments of ASU: Historical; Philology & Journalism; Foreign Languages, Social Communications; World Economy & Management; Law. They shall learn much about Astrakhan’s ancient history and culture, visit our museums and theaters, try our cuisine, and get in touch with people representing various ethnic communities, as Astrakhan Region is famous for its huge ethnic diversity.
