Joint Program by Gazprombank & ASU Starts

On October 18, 2016, the Department of Business & Economy of Astrakhan State University, jointly with the Astrakhan Branch of Gazprombank, imitated the program “Customer Services Manager”.

During two months, 30 first-year-students of the Department of Business & Economy of ASU will be covering a hands-on training program to be delivered by key staff members of Gazprombank, who will act as their instructors. At the end of the program, the students are to take an aptitude test and receive a certificate of proficiency.

The program was officially opened by Mr. Askar Kabikeev, Manager of the Astrakhan Branch of Gazprombank. He pointed out that it is crucial for the students to develop continuously, find creative solutions, and work hard.

The first meeting consisted of four blocks: “Corporate & Retail Banking” (delivered by Ms. N. Bakhareva, Deputy Manager of the Astrakhan Branch); “Sources of Banking Law” (delivered by Mr. S. Shitov, General Counsel of the Branch); “Fundamentals of Customer Services” (by Mr. S. Orlov, Head of CRM Unit of the Branch); “Treasurer’s Product Range” (by Mr. B. Mironov).

The strategic aim of the Department of Business & Economy of ASU is to form students’ overall professional competencies both by teaching them at the University and by giving them hands-on training at organizations that act as partners of ASU. Since the first year of their studies, all the students are to cover a cycle of seminars and practical trainings at Astrakhan Region’s key companies and legal authorities.
