Our MSc Student Participates in Congress of Young Researchers

Victor Zanozin, a future Master of Geography studying at Astrakhan State University, has taken part in the 1st National Congress of Young Geographers “GeoSearch 2016”.

The event took place at Tver State University (Tver, Russia). About 200 reps of Russia’s research and educational institutions took part in it.

Key specialists in Geography, Earth remote probing, and mapping gave their reports at the Congress. Their range included reps of the Russian Geographical Society, as well as EGEA Moscow (the European Geography Association for Students and Young Geographers) and major mapping companies.

As for Victor, he took part in the sections “GIS Technologies in Geography & Ecology” and “Earth Remote Research Methods from Space”. He presented his project “Application of GIS Technologies in Geoecological Survey of Astrakhan Region’s Landscapes” (Prof. Alexander Barmin is his research supervisor).
