Our Dean Visits University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambresis (France)
Dr. Denis Zholobov, Dean of the Department of Mathematics & Information Technologies, visited the University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambresis (Valenciennes, France); his visit relates to the ERASMUS+ program of academic mobility.
During his visit, Dr. Zholobov delivered a series of seminars for students covering the master program in Computing. The theme of his seminars was “Using GWT Technology to Develop Web Applications”. Researchers of the French university presented their R&D in the field of ICT, including a full-cycle modern film studio located in modified mine facilities. The two parties discussed the prospects of their further cooperation, including joint researches, participation in international educational projects, and academic exchange programs.
The University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambresis and Astrakhan State University have been partners for a long time. A program of academic mobility is currently being implemented; our future mathematicians, physicists, and agrarians go to Valenciennes to cover a term there thanks to grants provided by the ERASMUS+ program.
Approximately 11, 000 students study at the University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambresis; they cover programs in ICT, Engineering, Humanities, and in natural sciences. The University is well-known for its close and tight relations with the local industries.
