Caspian Wolves Take Part in Championship of Association of Student Basketball

The 1st tour of the basketball championship for men of the Association of Student Basketball has taken place in Rostov-on-Don among Southern Russia’s teams.

Teams of Southern Russia’s universities (Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, and Astrakhan), as well as a Kazakhstani team from Atyrau took part in the event.

Our basketball male team “Caspian Wolves” had three matches; it won two of them. The Caspian Wolves were five; they had no substitutes owing to other players’ injuries. “Unfortunately, we couldn’t win in the 1st tour. We worked at full stretch and were short of players”, Mr. Farkhad Sultanov, the coach of the Caspian Wolves, comments.

The Caspian Wolves are to play return games with the rest of the teams in the round robin.
