Student of ASU Takes Part in French Gastronomic Reception

On March 14, 2018, the Embassy of France to Russia hosted a reception dedicated to the Days of Francophonie in Russia. A student of Astrakhan State University covering our double-diploma Russian-French master program “Functional Nutrition” at our Biological Department took part in it.

The reception took place shortly before the Goût de France / Good France International Festival. Renowned chefs of France were invited to this event, as well as a lot of well-known Russian restaurant reps. After the official dinner, there was a press conference; its participants pointed out that 3, 000 restaurants from 150 countries shall honor the French cuisine during the Goût de France / Good France International Festival. The event is backed by Mr. Alain Ducasse (the well-known French chef) and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development of France.

Our student was the only rep of ASU; she had a good chance to learn experience gained by top-level French and Russian caterers and chefs. It has already become a good tradition for our University to take part in this Festival. People of ASU are known in Southern Russia as innovators introducing the right nutrition.
