ASU to Train Specialists in Alternative Energy

On May 15, 2018, Astrakhan State University signed a cooperation agreement with the Solar Systems Company. It happened in Narimanov District of Astrakhan Region, where a solar power station was officially launched.

The Solar Systems is an affiliate of a large Chinese company. Its activities relate to development of solar power stations in Russia. Nowadays projects to consume renewable and environmentally friendly power sources are crucial for both Russia and China. The two countries cooperate in this field actively; an outcome of that cooperation is construction of solar power stations in Russia. Our Region is attractive for construction of such facilities, since it is one of the sunniest areas in our country. The first station was launched last year in Volodarsky District; another station has just been launched in Narimanov District; several others are to be built in other districts of Astrakhan Region.
