Reps of Japanese Company Ready to Cooperate with ASU

Mr. Wakino Yutaka, General Manager of the Anest Iwata Rus, and Mr. Timur Mukhamedzhanov, CEO of the same company, have visited Astrakhan State University.

Anest Iwata Rus is the Russian affiliate of the Japanese company, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of varnish-and-paint equipment. In particular, the ANEST IWATA Corporation produces one of the best aerographic tools by applying the most advanced technologies.

As part of the Generation’s Experience project by the Unit of Russian-Asian Cooperation of Astrakhan State University, Mr. Mukhamedzhanov, who graduated from our University, met our students. He told them about the main stages in his career and the role of studies at our University in it.

The two guests also met Mr. Konstantin Markelov, our Acting Rector. The distinguished guest from Japan highly appreciated our technological infrastructure: “We were shown your main building, and I was amazed when I saw how laboriously and carefully your equipment was set up. Such a material base really admires!”

The main theme of the meeting was to discuss ideas related to our graduates’ further employment. In particular, Mr. Mukhamedzhanov emphasized the value of motivation and self-confidence for a young specialist. Besides, projects that could bring together qualified specialists and large foreign companies are of real importance. In particular, there are many recruitment agencies in Japan, and ASU could cooperate with them by submitting information about its promising alumni to them.

Mr. Markelov pointed out that those agencies, in their turn, could specify what specialists they need; ASU could then train specialists who would certainly be of high demand. He also shared other plans with the two guests. “We are planning to establish the worldwide club of our alumni”, he said, “Ex-students of ASU assume top positions now; they work in various countries. That club could help make productive contacts, run joint research and business projects”. Such student communities operate at elite educational institutions – Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, etc.

In his turn, Mr. Wakino Yutaka promised: “I’m ready to support you. A university is a springboard into the adult life for students; a major task for any university is to help them find the right way in their further lives and find a worthy job”.
