Biological Department of ASU Cooperates with Kazakhstani Researchers

Professor Alexey Laktionov from the Chair of Botany, Biology of Ecosystems, & Land Resources of Astrakhan State University has taken part in an expedition to the eastern part of the Caspian Sea Region (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenia).

The expedition was organized by the Association for the Conservation of Biodiversity of Kazakhstan to collect data and research vegetation in Southern Ustyurt and Kaplankyr.

Prof. Laktionov, as a highly qualified specialist in the field of floristics, helped his Kazakhstani colleagues compile project documentation of Kazakhstan’s protected areas.
