On July 05, certificates of successful completion of the course “Alterative to Language of Feud in Russian Media Space” were handed to trainees of the School of Interethnic Journalism of ASU.

Ms. Dinara Mezhitova, Chief of the Astrakhan Office of the Guild of Interethnic Journalism, handed the official documents to graduates of the School of Interethnic Journalism that operates at Astrakhan State University. In her turn, Dr. Galina Belolipskaya, Head of the Chair of Theory & History of Journalism of ASU, congratulated them.

During their studies, the young people have learnt about the ethnic and cultural diversity of Russia in general and Astrakhan Region in particular; they have listened to lectures related to coverage of interethnic relations in the media. The students visited and covered ethnic holidays, events of ethnic and cultural character, and thematic sites: Sabantuy, Tsagaan Sar, Nowruz. They also took part in TV bridges and video conferences with experts and trainees of the School of Interethnic Journalism from other cities of Russia. The best papers have been published on the web site of the Guild of Interethnic Journalism.
