Issues of Pedagogics Discussed at ASU

The 3rd International Applied Scientific Conference “Pedagogical Science & Education in Dialogue with Time” dedicated to memory of ex-Rector Professor Valeriy Pyatin has taken place at the Chair of Pedagogics & Continuing Professional Education of Astrakhan State University.

Over 100 people have taken place in this event. The geography of the Conference is quite vast: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkmenia, Australia. As for the Russian participants, they came from Astrakhan, Moscow, Stavropol, Oryol, Makhachkala, Cherepovets, Saint Petersburg, etc.

Prof. Galina Fayzieva, Director of the Department of Continuing Education of ASU, opened the Conference; she emphasized Prof. Pyatin’s contribution to development of ASU in particular and education in Astrakhan Region in general.

The range of considered issues was quite wide and diverse. The given reports concerned the theory and technique of professional education, organization of the educational process at institutions of various types, etc. Besides mature researchers, students and trainees covering professional retraining programs gave their reports as well.

As part of the Conference, the regional workshop “Extracurricular Activities: Projecting, Organizing, Managing” has taken place as a roundtable for pedagogues; it was arranged jointly with Saint Petersburg’s Lyceum #95.

At the end of the event, there was the panel discussion “Dialogue between Family & School”. Management and teachers of Astrakhan’s schools acted as experts. In the end, the panel discussion participants developed recommendations to provide an efficient interaction between family and school.
