ASU Student Glorifies Astrakhan Friendship at the All-Russian Level
Aleksandr Ulanov, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Psychology, participated in the intellectual, creative and sporting competition «Miss and Mister Studentship of Russia 2018». Together with his colleague from the Astrakhan State Technical University, Aleksandr represented Astrakhan at the final in Sevastopol and won several medals.
This year, the competition was organized by the Federal Youth Agency, Sevastopol Government, Sevastopol State University and Russian Union of Youth. This creative project aims at uniting active and talented students from throughout Russia.
Aleksandr Ulanov noted that «there are no accidental participants in this competition — everyone has his/her unique developed personality and deserves victory; despite the fact that this competition is individual, we worked as a team, united our efforts to be qualified for the final and were sincerely happy for each other.» The ASU participant won a silver medal in the «Ready for Labor and Defense» category and, following the results of all the other stages, got the title «Mister Creativity».
Aleksandr’s main victory was the title «Mister Friendship». In this nomination, a winner was chosen by the students themselves via anonymous voting the day before the final. By the way, the title «Miss Friendship» was also won by a participant from Astrakhan!
Besides, our city added bright hints to a joint flash mob «We are Russia!»: all the participants put on national costumes, expanded a large tricoloured flag and performed the national hymn. The costumes were generally Russian, but Aleksandr decided to remind the participants that Russia is a multinational country and put on a traditional Kazakh costume.
