Sergey Morozov Appreciates ASU Projects and Innovations.
Sergey Morozov, the Governor of the Astrakhan region ad interim, praised the university orientation to training in-demand professionals for the regional needs, as well as a wide range of majors offered by the university.
As previously reported, the Governor ad interim visited the university, saw its laboratories and talked to teachers and students.
The excursion around the university aimed at showing inventions of our students and employees. The innovation range is quite wide — from human biomechanics to application of drones in agriculture, from a mobility system for visually impaired persons to a fabric cutout laser.
This is one of the university main goals — to work in accordance with real needs of the market both in the sphere of innovations and in training future professionals. Sergey Morozov was especially interested in graduates’ employment and expressed his concern about their possible plans to leave the hometown after graduation. On the contrary, the Astrakhan region also offers a lot of places of employment for the university graduates. ASU does a lot to provide this opportunity via establishing good relations with local enterprises: a lot of students take an externship in Astrakhan companies and start their career path within the framework of this very cooperation. The university has a lot of official partners, e.g. the special economic zone «Lotus», the regional multifunctional centre, regional ministries and a lot more, and the list is continuously growing.
